I am not sure why people on this blog have to get so pissy and critical. Obviously, you are just a person who is always full of enthusiasm and good will, trying to create the same excitement in others.

To Mike's comment that "not enough people got to have a say in this gathering":

After Jon posted the suggestion to have a summer gathering for extra's, there were only a limited number of people on this site, who had any comments one way or the other about it. It soon became obvious, that it would be difficult to find a spot that pleased everyone, with the various locations of where all of Chiagoland Extra's reside. My suggestion of the Evanston lakefront park by met with mixed reviews, and finally Anne was generous enough to offer her wonderful venue in Highland Park, close to a train stop, with beach rights and lots of other amenities. She even arranged for the party to be from 2:00-midnight to try to accomodate as many people's schedules as possible. Lenore was kind enough to offer to help out in any way she could, which was a nice gesture.  Her "rah rah" postings were to get some more excitement brewing. As many extra's who log into this site could have all taken their time to put in their two cents about place and date. Only a limited number commented. So, the few who were on board for the Highland Park venue, ran with the idea and that's just the way it turned out. I am sure all of us who have responded and show up, will have a most wonderful time. It is unfortunate that not everyone will be able to attend.

In the meantime, for eveyone who posts on this site, it would be wonderful if the name calling and criticism could be avoided. It's just unneccesary and takes the fun out for those who visit regularly.
