Hi folks,

I have been informed by reliable sources that two production offices have opened.

"Polish Bar'
a low budget inde

"Nightmare on Elm Street"
same production company as 'the unborn'

Hopefully since New York dumped its' tax credit will will pick up more work.

The gal who was the production supervisor on "Baby on Board" is currently now working on "Polish Bar". Should be about a 6 week shoot. Not sure who is working on the extra's.

A pilot (do not know the name) will also begin shooting for a few weeks in the near future.

Keep your eyes and ears open on Craig's List and hotlines for possible needs for these projects.

Polish Bar is non paying project for extras. There is film credit for repeating players.

Good evening! Does anyone know who is doing casting for actors around my age (19-20) for Nightmare on Elm Street? I would like be a part of any feature film that is shooting in Chicago, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

As of this past weekend the Rumor was that they have not made a choice in Background Casting agency yet.

I get Variety and there are no projects listed for Chicago or Illinois.

I'm not sure what you mean by "there are no projects listed for Chicago or Illinois" The Chicago Film Office definitely shows that A Nightmare on Elm Street is slated for filming from April 27th through the end of June, 2009. Like gindathgd stated, not sure who is doing extra casting on it yet. Gotta keep an eye on it.:-)

Variety is a publication that is going thru major changes. So quite often thier information is not current.
